Bottom bar and main page

Settings › General › Bottom bar and main page picks the main page, the page Rollov opens on, and the four pages beside it in the phone's bottom bar. Any page can go there: Days, Calendar, Projects, Tasks, Notes, People, Search, Upcoming, Lists, Pins, Tags, Scrapbook, Insights, Weekly review, Habits and more. A preview shows the bar as you change it, and Back to the default returns to Calendar, Projects, Days, Notes and People.

The main page sits in the middle of the bar and first in the computer's sidebar, and the Rollov logo takes you back to it.

Light and dark

Rollov follows your system's light or dark mode, or keeps the one you pick, from the Theme control at the bottom of the control center (or the Dark mode quick tile). The choice is kept per device, so a phone and a laptop can differ.

Control center

The control center (the button at the top right) gathers:

  • Coming up: timed events and task reminders starting soon, with a countdown. Settings › Calendar › Control center sets how far ahead it looks, from 5 minutes to 6 hours. Events on your schedule start counting down at the same time.
  • Timer: the running focus session or stopwatch, with Stop.
  • AI drafts waiting to be reviewed.
  • Quick tiles: toggles (Dark mode, 24-hour clock, Airplane), actions (Lock now, New task, New note, Brain dump) and shortcuts to pages. Edit removes, adds and drags tiles into your order, and Reset brings back the defaults.
  • Theme: system, light or dark.

Cards

Settings › Cards picks what task and note cards show, such as dates, priority, project, estimate, tags and subtask counts, so your lists are as dense or as quiet as you like.

Sections and icons

Day pages have sections, such as Morning, Work or Evening. A section's menu renames it, gives it an emoji, moves it up or down, chooses whether its unfinished tasks roll over, and removes it. Tap a section's header to fold it. Notes folders, project groups, tasks, projects, notes and people can all have an icon and a colour too.

General settings

Settings › General also has:

  • Language: English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, German or Traditional Chinese, for this device.
  • Week starts on Sunday or Monday.
  • Daily capacity: how much estimated work fits in a day.
  • Finished tasks: stay in place, struck through, or move to the bottom.
  • Page width (computers): a reading width, or the full width beside the sidebar.
  • Text shortcuts: the date format, the clock and your own / shortcuts.
  • Same on every device: your view options and preferences follow your account; turn this off on a device that should look different.

Calendar and clock settings

Settings › Calendar has public holidays from any countries, lunar dates, the time format (12 or 24 hours), clocks and countdowns, event categories, and your other calendars. See Calendar.
